Biography
Gromo (Brae Gromek) is a Guatemala-born, NYC-based rising producer/artist whose sound explores the intersection of hip-hop and dance music. He’s cultivated his genre-less sound across his years in the industry as an event producer, tastemaker DJ and student at NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music.

First breaking through in 2016 via early singles like “Don't Care” ft. Hush, “Nuke,” “Find Me (Marco Polo)” and “Give Me,” Gromo is expanding his sound in 2020. New single "Slowly," ft. Rhea Raj, mixes reggaeton with Indian pop, throwback R&B melodies and tropical rhythms. His forthcoming single, "Wake Up," is a trap-leaning melodic rap anthem, while "Cold Weather" features a hard-edged rap loop.

Gromo first emerged as a teen-DJ sensation in the NYC nightlife circuit in the mid-2010s. After producing under-18 events at venues like Pacha, Pink Elephant and Riff Raffs, he performed at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival in 2015, becoming the youngest DJ (age 16) to play the event. While touring the world, he rediscovered his love for music and refocused on production. He studied music’s cultures and histories, focusing on hip-hop, and picked up elements that would inform his style.
