Biography
In May this year Malin Christin made her artist debut with the song Salt i såren along with collaborer Myra Granberg. Shortly after she was featured on Albin Johnséns song Aldrig ge upp. However, Malin isn’t exactly new to the music scene with credits as songwriter for both swedish and international artists in Europe as well as the US and Asia. As soon as she started writing for herself she quickly found her signature sound; a fusion between Swedish Pop and Alternative R&B.
Now, Malin Christin is ready to release her debut single Lika barn leka bäst, a song about being opposites but still managing to cope together in an intimate relationship. The song name is a swedish proverb which roughly translates to “similar children get along the best”.
Lika barn leka bäst is about two people not having to be very similar to work well together. I critique the saying that “similar children get along the best”, does it actually hold true or can it even be mutually beneficial to be different in a relationship? I believe that in most cases we unknowingly fall in love with people a little different from ourselves and get the chance to complete each other.
“I have worked hard with this project for over a year and I’ve created so much music that I want to share. Many of them are very personal songs that I hope people will relate to and gain strength from.”
Lika Barn Leka Bäst is set to be released October 23rd through Sony Music. The song is written by Malin Christin along with Oliver Forsmark who’s also behind the production.
